The aim is to equip the county’s health and social care workforce with the skills and confidence to identify improvement needs in their areas, and to systematically make those improvements, measuring and demonstrating the impact that they have on citizen patient experience.

Regional Innovation Coordination (RIC) Hub

The role of the Regional Innovation Coordination (RIC) Hub is to improve the quality and value of the research, innovation and improvement activity within the Regional Partnership Board (RPB) footprint, through learning and the sharing of ideas.

While COVID-19 hindered our capacity to think strategically, our response to the pandemic has demonstrated our ability to think on our feet and innovate the way we deliver services to ensure service continuity and outcome delivery in the short-medium term.

We must now harness the appetite for innovation to transform service delivery for the longer-term, working collaboratively to ensure our services can continue to operate and meet the needs and required outcomes of the people of Powys.

Making every contact count

Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is an approach to behaviour change that utilises the millions of day to day interactions that organisations and individuals have with other people to support them in making positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

MECC enables the opportunistic delivery of consistent and concise healthy lifestyle information and enables individuals to engage in conversations about their health at scale across organisations and populations.
